Ferragamo is now the first fashion house that held a runway show
inside the legendary Louvre Museum, which was followed with a dinner inside the iconic Pyramid.
Salvatore Ferragamo Resort 2013 Collection,
which is Massimiliano Giornetti’s 2nd Resort Collection for the house,
was presented with a runway show on a 120 meters runway
that was laid along the archways of the Pavillon Denon of the Louvre on the June 12.

The mirror effected, narrow, extra long runway with the grey shadows of the arches
resembled a river that is flowing from the past to the future, which was the most important characteristic of the show.
Launching the collection in a museum also attributed each piece a meaning of artwork.
It was not that much hard for Ferragamo to grant the privilege of being the first fashion house
to present a runway show inside the Louvre as the house is currently sponsoring
the exhibition “La Sainte Anne, Leonardo da Vinci’s Ultimate Masterpiece”
where the magnificent Leonarda da Vinci’s final masterpiece “The Virgin and Child With Sainte Anne”
is exhibited after its renovation. The exhibition is on view until the June 25.
It was also so meaningful that an Italian Fashion House is the first to represent a runway show inside the Louvre.
It is well known that the most popular masterpiece of the museum is also Italian Leonardo da Vinci’s “Mona Lisa”
which is may be the most famous Italian art piece.
